If I had to name one thing that will shut me up, drive me wild all at the same time, then it has to be art! Hungry, thirsty, I scour fairs, exhibitions and galleries around the world and the hunger for more is never stilled. Why not make art myself? I would if I could! I’ve tried, but ended up burning or destroying everything I ever painted. It was AWFUL! But who knows..maybe one day. What a joy to be involved in art!
The artistic photographer Miles Aldridge fascinates me. He was born in North London with celeb friends like John Lennon, as well as Eric Clapton and Elton John. He studied Illustration at the Central St Martins to follow his father’s steps, afterwards briefly directed pop videos before moving into photography by chance. He sent some photos of an aspiring model girlfriend to an agency and fell into fashion when British Vogue called him as well as her. By then he’d hung out on shoots with his sister and traveled to New York in the mid-nineties where he started working almost immediately.
His t-shirt collection may be seen as very commercial , but than… he is a fashion photographer. Personally I think my own t-shirt collection is much more rock ‘n roll, more Rebel. But you will have to be patient, because the t-shirts will be released this fall! But they will be very naughty 😉
I am mad about the Belgian photographer Kurt Stallaert*. This guy is not only very sexy, but he is a master in his artwork! His ‘moving stills’ are intriguing, challenge you and even confuse. I’ll be working on a few projects with him so keep an eye out for us as we’re a naughty duo with some dastardly plans in art.

Als er nu IETS is waar ik werkelijk helemaal wild, stil of gefascineerd door kan raken, dan is het wel kunst! Dorstig, hongerig en gretig schuim ik vernissages af, beurzen, gallerijen en het kunst DNA blijft maar door mijn aderen stromen. Waarom dan zelf geen kunst maken?
Absoluut, alleen schilderen kan ik niet, echt niet! Ik heb al het werk verscheurd of verbrand, horror was het! Wie weet komt het nog…Maar wat een feest om met kunst bezig te zijn!

Everybody who loves art: come to Leiden this summer and admire the works of 9 young talented artists. Outside ( so no entry), under the trees of the Hooglandse Kerkgracht, you’ll find statues of which the basic element is concrete. The young talents promissed us something impressive, leaving us very curious! The same time you’ll find a satellite-exhibition of works by the international known artist Ruud Kuijer in several of our museums! Opening May 22 till August 3. Organisation by the Foundation Beelden in Leiden.

Je kan natuurlijk ook een serie zelfgemaakte schilderijen half verbranden, en het dan de Fire Series noemen. Wel er even excentriek en rebels bij kijken dan voor het beste resultaat. 😉 En andere kunstvormen, ach, hm, schrijf je wel eens? 😉
